WHY THIS FILM MATTERS
Rick and the non-profit MAPS are on the cusp of doing something that has never been done before. The impact could change mental healthcare as well as culture forever. Beyond the impact of psychedelics, this is also the story of a young person who found an injustice in the world, and set out to change the law to make it right. He kept at it for 50 years. This story offers a road map to any young person looking to change the world.
PRODUCTION TIMELINE
We’ve been filming with Rick and MAPS since 2014 and plan to continue to document this story until MDMA becomes a legal prescription medicine (estimated 2021 or 2022) - at which point Rick will finally be able to realize his dream of becoming a Psychedelic Psychotherapist. It’s already been an incredible story to follow and we can’t wait to share it with you!
